Overview
Pawtal is a cloud application that runs in your web browser. There is nothing to install on most devices.
Who can use this
All users.
Where to find it
This is setup information — no in-app route.
How it works
Pawtal runs entirely in your browser and syncs in real time across every device you're signed in on.
Desktop and laptop
- Operating system: macOS 12 or newer, Windows 10 or newer.
- Browser: latest Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- Screen: 1280×720 or larger (1440×900+ recommended for clinical workflows).
- Connection: stable broadband (3 Mbps+ down, 1 Mbps+ up).
Tablet
- iPad running iPadOS 16 or newer, Android tablets running Chrome.
- Recommended for Whiteboard, Treatment Sheets, and Checklists at the treatment bench.
Phone
- iOS 16+ Safari or Android Chrome (latest two major versions).
- Best for Punch Clock, Schedule, Culture, Notifications, and quick lookups.
Step-by-step
- Update your browser
Use the latest stable version. Older versions may render Pawtal incorrectly.
- Allow notifications (optional)
When your browser asks about push notifications, click Allow if you want Pawtal to alert you to schedule changes or safety events.
- Enable camera and mic (optional)
Only required for features that capture photos, scan barcodes, or record video.
Tips
- If Pawtal feels slow, a hard reload (⌘⇧R or Ctrl+Shift+R) clears stale assets.
- On shared workstations, sign out at the end of every shift — never rely on "remember me".
FAQ
Does Pawtal work offline?
Limited functions (viewing cached pages) work briefly offline, but all writes require a connection.
Is there a native mobile app?
Not yet. The web app is installable as a PWA — use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option.
